09 Mar Community ENT Clinic Launched at Eskasoni Health Center

We are pleased to announce a new partnership with the IWK and Eskasoni Health Centre that will provide ENT services to children and youth. The clinic will serve children and youth up to age 16. The ENT clinic will go to Eskasoni on an as-needed basis. Community members will travel to Eskasoni to access the clinic. Our first goals were set to quarterly visits. If there are high numbers of referrals and clients who need to be seen, there is flexibility for more frequent clinics.  Past ACHH research has identified high rates of chronic ear infection but low rates of referrals for Indigenous children & youth, highlighting the need for community-based solutions.
