The ACHH Initiative is excited to announce the newly published article by members of the ACHH Initiative team!
This study assessed the app’s usability and clinical feasibility with First Nations youths and clinicians. The Kids Hurt App allows children and youth to articulate their pain through stories and descriptions, even while remaining stoic in their pain expression.
While not intended to diagnose pain, the app enhances the two-way communication between patients, families, and clinicians. Results showed all youths in testing would use the app in healthcare settings, with clinicians noting its potential value in practice.
